Our Senior Management Team is comprised of the following experienced individuals:

Stephen Allen
Stephen’s automotive career started in 1990 at Ford Motor Company where for over 10 years he undertook a variety of Sales and Marketing roles in the UK, Europe and globally. Significant experience was gained in parts, service, vehicle sales, product planning, brand development, management and retail operations. Prior to becoming Managing Director of Impetus Automotive, Stephen undertook the roles of both Business Development Director and Deputy Managing Director.

Phil Cowley
Phil has been with the business since 1990 and is one of the Directors responsible for the formation of Impetus Automotive. A qualified ACMA, he began his career with ICL and then FKB Group PLC, progressing through a wide variety of Accounting and Corporate Finance roles. As FD, Phil looks after our Finance, IT and HR functions.

David Gorvett
Following 13 years experience in a variety of Regional Sales, UK Marketing and Aftersales roles with Rover / BMW Group and assuming responsibility for Global Aftersales Development, David joined Volvo Car UK in 1997. During his 8 years with Volvo, David fulfilled a variety of Senior Management roles including becoming a member of the Global Managerment Team for Volvo Car Customer Service. Joining Impetus Automotive in 2005, David initially took responsibility for Business Development and delivered significant growth in revenues, securing several new clients in the process. Progressing to Deputy Managing Director, David now assumes responsibility for all revenues and company growth.

Andy Mills
Andy is an Economics graduate and qualified as a Management Accountant whilst working in the Travel sector, initially with Thompson Holidays. He moved into the Automotive industry after joining Impetus Automotive in 1998 and has been responsible for building up the Business Support, IT Development and Consultancy services offered by the 40+ operational staff based at our main Office in Warwick. Andy has successfully delivered challenging, high profile projects for various Clients both in the UK and on a Global basis, and has played a key role in the development of the Impetus Global footprint.

Mark Dale
As Director of the Client Services team, Mark has over 20 years automotive experience gained from both manufacturers and aftermarket competitors. Joining Impetus Automotive in 1997, Mark is responsible for the overall management of the Impetus Automotive Client base and our Client Satisfaction Programme.

Rob Webster
After leaving KPMG as a Chartered Accountant, Rob spent 12 years with Rover / BMW Group in various roles within the UK and European Sales and Marketing functions. With responsibility for Business Management and Dealer Development Projects in the UK and Europe, Rob has significant automotive experience. Joining Impetus Automotive in 1999, Rob was responsible for developing and managing a number of successful client business relationships before moving into an operational role looking after our UK and Global field programmes focusing on Dealer Quality improvement and Business Development.

Dave Harriman
After spending some years in the engineering sector, Dave joined the automotive industry in 1994. Dave has spent this time in operational roles, including 7 years with the Unipart Group, progressing through the ranks of field based staff before taking a senior management role at Cowley. Joining Impetus Automotive in April 2002 as an Operations Manager, Dave has responsibility for all our aftersales field based implementation teams and, as Operations Director, manages a team of Senior Operations Managers.

Keith Vipond
Keith is a qualified Management Accountant with over 20 years automotive experience in Contract Hire & Leasing, Franchised Dealer Management and 10 years with Impetus Automotive. With an excellent understanding of Dealership operations coupled with a great awareness of Manufacturer requirements, Keith has supported the development of Impetus Automotive into the premier supplier of operational standards auditing for franchised dealer networks in the UK. This experience is also supporting our development in Asia Pacific and Russia amongst other markets.

Mark O’Flaherty
Mark’s automotive career started in 1995 at the Unipart Group of Companies where he had various operational and management roles within the Unipart, Rover and Partco businesses. Joining Impetus Automotive in 2005, initially as a programme manager, Mark progressed to Senior Operations Manager responsible for the implementation of a variety of aftersales projects and teams within the UK & Europe.

David Cumberbatch
Joining Impetus Automotive as Client Services Manager in May 2011, David has over 12 years automotive experience gained from time spent with Ford Motor Company, Citroen, and Volkswagen UK. David has worked in vehicle sales, retail operations, network development, aftersales, parts marketing, field based team management and Dealer operational roles.
