Impetus Automotive's largest ever Employee ConferenceJune 21, 2016
Impetus Automotive has held its largest ever Employee Conference at Stratford-upon-Avon Racecourse. This year’s event, their biggest yet, brought teams together to learn about the business performance and other areas activity whilst having a bit of fun. Oh and whilst they were at it, they also raised £2,611.83 for Muscular Dystrophy UK.
Impetus Automotive is a specialist consultancy that supports the development of franchised vehicle Retailers, on behalf of their manufacturers. This means that the majority of the workforce work in the field, or within manufacturer’s offices. As such, the employee conference is a rare opportunity to meet all their colleagues and catch-up.
This year 177 people came together at the Stratford-upon-Avon race course. The day started with a two hour conference that began with some quick presentations from the Chairman, Nick Lander and Director, David Gorvett, on business performance. The floor was then thrown open to five teams of people from across the organisation. These teams then presented, using a variety of styles from University Challenge to a Parkinson style chat show, on topics as diverse as Fleet Business, Auditing, Research, Global Parts Trade and Solutions Development.
The business enjoyed a meal together before an afternoon at the races complete with cream teas and relatively smart attire. This saw the business split into small teams, each with a pot of money with which to bet on the horses. Varying degrees of horse knowledge was evident, though fortunately the experts were recognised and listened to and this resulted in £2,611.83 being raised for Muscular Dystrophy, UK.
