Summary

  • Identify performance gaps within the Service department that directly impact parts sales and customers experience providing an action plan to address shortfalls.
  • Customer retention to be regularly reviewed with particular attention paid to Service Plans and aged vehicle service requirements.
  • To monitor Vehicle Health Check usage in order to satisfy duty of care requirements and increase average upsell value and implementing an effective deferred sales process.
  • Dealer database management to be reviewed to ensure that all relevant information is being captured enabling the dealer to accurately market customers and improving customer retention, supporting mandatory service campaigns and local initiatives.
  • Coach teams and individuals within the Service Department, demonstrating best practice and inspiring then to work in an effective manner.
  • Review workshop efficiencies so that each opportunity can be maximised enabling the dealership to operate in a profitable and effective manner.

Target Profile / Experience

  • A knowledge of franchised dealer/vehicle manufacturer or aftermarket service operations.
  • The ability to add value and improve performance is imperative.
  • Previous/current experience of working in a regional role, for an aftermarket supplier, franchised dealer group or vehicle manufacturer would be an advantage.

 

Capabilities

  • Full understanding of how a dealership Aftersales operation works and how to measure KPI's.
  • Proven ability in highlighting performance gaps within Service Departments and providing action plans to correct shortfalls.
  • Commercially focused on delivering company objectives
  • Customer service oriented with strong understanding of how to influence change within a dealership in order to improve customer experience.
  • Excellent coaching skills and ability to bring out the best in people
  • Strong organisational and planning skills
  • Self motivated and able to take ownership of problems. 
  • PC literate with Microsoft packages to intermediate standards.
